Our Products
At Sam’s Honey Bees, we pride ourselves on offering pure, natural honey and handmade beeswax products, all crafted with care and respect for the environment.
Our products reflect the beauty of the Somerset countryside, providing you with the finest quality straight from the hive.
Our signature product is a unique blend of honey harvested from the diverse flowers, trees, and plants of Somerset. The bees forage freely in the local countryside, gathering nectar from wildflowers, hedgerows, and gardens to create this one-of-a-kind honey.
All of our colony’s are headed with an F1 Buckfast queen. Buckfast bees are known for their gentle nature and strong foraging abilities, making them a great choice for the beginner/back garden beekeepers or if you’re wanting to expand your apiary. There such wonderful colonies that have such calm genetics, as it really enhances the beekeeping experience. The reduced tendency to swarm is a huge advantage, too, allowing for more productive hives.
Spring nucs are the perfect starter colony for the new beekeeper, watch the bees grow and fill your hive in the first season and get the bees strong enough to get through winter. Benefits of an over wintered nucs are a proven queen, ready to rapidly expand in spring, increasing honey production potential.
Sam's Journey into Beekeeping
Sam’s passion for beekeeping began years ago, but it wasn’t until a chance encounter with a family friend and experienced beekeeper that his journey truly began. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a commitment to sustainable, natural beekeeping.
